SENTINEL NETWORK
*NEW* FINDINGS BRIEF RELEASED SPRING 2025
The Sentinel Network links the healthcare sector with policymakers, workforce planners and educators to identify and respond to changing demand for healthcare workers, with a focus is on identifying newly emerging skills and roles required by employers.
The Sentinel Network is an initiative of Washington’s Health Workforce Council, conducted collaboratively by Washington’s Workforce Board and the University of Washington’s Center for Health Workforce Studies.
The WA State Board for Community and Technical Colleges presents the Allied Health Center of Excellence
In 2009, Washington became the first and only state in the nation to codify Centers of Excellence into state statute (HB1323)
Ten Centers across the state represent a sector strategy to serve as economic development drivers for industries that help grow the state's economy.
The Allied Health Center of Excellence, with regional and statewide leadership activities, serves as a resource to all 34 community and technical colleges, K-12 Health Science, business / industry partners, plus identified government entities to ensure a continuous pipeline of new healthcare professionals.
