Maura led strategic initiatives to put our region back on the map—from recruiting the 17th Annual NIH SBIR/STTR Conference to Washington for the first time in conference history, to working with startups to connect them to vital resources that will help them grow and thrive in the Northwest.
Maura began her journey in the health care sector in 2009 where she played a key role in communicating the federal Affordable Care Act to local stakeholders as a staff member for then Congressman Jay Inslee. As the Washington State Director of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, her perspective was greatly influenced by her work in patient advocacy.
Seanna Ruvkun
Seanna Melchior Ruvkun is a Project Manager for the Workforce Development Council (WDC) of Seattle-King County where she has been implementing health care sector and self-sufficiency strategies in King County since 2003. She currently leads the WDC’s HHS Health Professions Opportunity Grant (HPOG) project, Health Workforce for the Future.
Ms. Ruvkun holds a BA in the Growth and Structure of Cities from Bryn Mawr College, and an MPA from the University of Washington, Evans School of Public Administration. Prior to her position with the WDC, she was an Employment Services Coordinator with Seattle Housing Authority and worked for the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) as a policy analyst and program manager implementing welfare reform initiatives with community partners.

Kimberly Washburn
Kimberly is a versatile Human Resources professional with more than 20 years of experience driving increased performance and profitability through envisioning and leading strategic initiatives. She has worked in a wide variety of industries ranging from hi-tech (at Microsoft) to non-profit (United Way of King County) to healthcare (Snoqualmie Valley Hospital District and Virginia Mason Memorial).
Kimberly has earned her PHR in 1992 and my SPHR (senior professional human resource) certification in 1995. Completing her Masters Degree in Management with an emphasis in Human Resource Management in 2012. Currently she is pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration with a Leadership emphasis.

He has an extensive background and experience in healthcare, hospitality, telecom, and IT industries from large multinational organizations to small private firms. Effective in pioneering new channels and markets through networking, strategy, and consultative and collaborative approach.
His 12 years of experience serving healthcare providers includes working with health systems and medical group executives and administrators in achieving their strategic goals during this time of unprecedented change.
Sofia Aragon
Sofia is the Chief Executive Director of the Washington Center for Nursing. The WCN works to improve the health of Washington through a highly skilled nursing workforce.
Ms. Aragon oversees the organization's finance and operations, works with the Board of Directors to shape strategic direction and priorities of the organization, identify and build strategic partnerships to accomplish organizational mission and objectives, and oversee community and public relations efforts.
Sue Skillman
Susan Skillman is the Deputy Director of the University of Washington Center for Health Workforce Studies, Associate Director of the WWAMI Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and investigator with the WWAMI Rural Health Research Center. Her areas of expertise include health workforce research, planning and policy analysis.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Skillman was a research project director at the University of Washington’s Department of Health Services and worked as a research projects director and coordinator of research development at the Center
for Health Studies at Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound.
Christy Dole
Christy has served as the Dean for Health Sciences at North Idaho College for nearly five years where she facilitates innovative delivery systems of health professions and nursing programs to promote educational access in the College service delivery area including distance education, outreach centers and off-site classrooms.
As the administrator and grant writer for a round IV TAACCCT grant, Christy serves as the visionary for the Idaho Center of Excellence Healthcare Partnership. She understands the need for well-connected, efficient systems within local communities and service regions that may cross state boundaries. Christy is a tireless advocate for students and the community college mission.
Matthew Albright
Matt is a proven leader with over 22 years' experience in national and international health care organizations that has an extensive background/knowledge in leading multidisciplinary teams, program management, strategy, proactive decision making and building relationships with stakeholders.
In his current position, Matt is responsible for collaborating with employed/aligned physicians and other key members of the care team from multiple hospitals and clinics. He works across the entire Providence Health Care delivery system to improve quality, cost and patient experience while growing the number of patients served. In addition, his position has accountability for integrating Providence Health Care’s voice and strategy with the Providence St. Joseph Health’s ‘Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute’ work.
Naveen Kanithi
Mr. Kanithi is the Workforce Program Manager for Northwest Regional Primary Care Association (NWRPCA), a membership organization of 85+ community health centers (CHCs) across Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
In this role, he leads efforts pertaining to pipeline development, including the management of an A.T. Still University osteopathic medical school campus focused on primary care workforce development based in CHC settings; Education Health Center Initiative, a program to develop primary care residency programs based at CHCs nationally, and the organization's efforts in recruitment and retention of a highly skilled and talented CHC clinical and administrative workforce.
Mr. Kanithi received his Masters in Social Planning and Administration from the University of Cape Town, and bachelors in Economics and Social Work, from New York University. He has worked towards creating and managing educational institutions serving underserved populations from the early childhood to graduate level across the US, India and South Africa over the past 15 years.
Tracy Oshiro, MSHR
Tracy Oshiro has worked in Human Resources at various non-profit organizations including Seattle University, Medical College of Wisconsin and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
As a Healthcare Recruiter within the University of Washington Medicine system for nine years, she recently joined Northwest Kidney Centers as a Recruiter in 2016. Tracy obtained her Master of Science in Human Resources from Marquette University.
